Portugal - from Feb 2025 until Jun 2025 View allDescription
Hey there!
I’m Karolina. From February 21st to June 17th, 2025, I'll be in Portugal—mainly in Lisbon where I am doing the nursing internship! 😊 I'm planning a camping trip to Madeira on 31st of March until 9thof April.
I grew up in Poland, but I’ve traveled and lived in various countries. I like immersing myself in new cultures, meeting diverse people, and exploring different places.
Over the past decade, my travels and various roles have blessed me with invaluable experiences and connections with many inspiring individuals. I have a background in Nursing, Neurobiology, and Food Nutrition, which has allowed me to explore different facets of health and well-being.
In my free time, you’ll often find me camping, hiking, bird-watching, or stargazing. I’m a huge fan of reading books on healthy lifestyles, medicine, and psychology. Spiritual growth is also super important to me. I follow beings like Eckhart Tolle, Andrew Huberman, Rangan Chatterjee, and more.
When I’m not soaking in nature or expanding my mind, I enjoy playing volleyball, spikeball, and softball. I also love dancing, singing, and jamming on the guitar and ukulele.Interests

More details about your skills
Renovation:
Growing up with a handyman father who could fix just about anything, I learned a lot by helping him with various home renovations. Together, we tackled projects like painting, wall plastering, installing laminate flooring, and building wood storage.
I also volunteered with the Icelandic Forest Service, spending 2.5 months there in 2021 and two weeks in 2024. During that time, I built benches, constructed stone steps, and maintained trails (including drainage work) in challenging weather conditions, which made the experience even more rewarding.
Gardening:
I’m skilled in lawn care, leaf raking, plant watering and trimming, and digging. I’ve also worked on farms in Poland and Italy, where I picked fruits and vegetables and transplanted fruit bushes.
Craft Skills:
I enjoy sewing and have a knack for fixing small items around the house.
Housekeeping:
With several months of experience as a housekeeper, I take pride in keeping spaces clean, organized, and welcoming.
Childcare:
I have a genuine love for children and find joy in their energy and light. I have an 11-year-old younger brother whom I’ve often babysat, and I’m grateful to have played a role in raising such a smart and kind young man. As a Dietitian, I completed a six-month internship at a kindergarten, where I created meal plans, cared for the children, and engaged them in play. Additionally, I participated in a project focused on physical development and executive function in children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). For a year, I worked with children with ASD, helping to improve their lifestyle.
Animal Care:
I have beginner-level riding skills but extensive experience in horse care, including feeding, hoof trimming, wound care, and caring for old and sick horses. I’ve also worked with chickens, from raising chicks to adulthood to tending to sick birds.
Computer Skills:
I’m comfortable with basic computer tasks and can assist with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and simple photo editing.Age

I really like it because, although Rachel’s home is Australia, she was born in Texas and shared so much about Texas culture and food with me. I also enjoyed listening to music and singing together. Rachel and Paul have extensive knowledge about the surrounding nature.
