Hello! My name is Kate and I have been traveling full time for over a year now. I found that I have a passion for experiencing new things and growing a community of passionate people around me. I love the spark of excitement you get from seeing something incredible for the first time, and since then, I've been chasing just that! I hope to use these traveling opportunities to grow as a person and discover new interests along the way. I'm currently in online school, but I don't let it get in the way of my passion for travel. I have found the ideal situation so I may continue to work, study, and explore.

I am currently attending Spanish school in Nicaragua. With some prior knowledge, I hope to advance quickly in the next few weeks. I believe it would be very helpful to consistently be around people speaking the language. I am also open to learning any new languages aside from Spanish along my journey!

I have many years of experience in hospitality, specifically waitressing and bar tending. I have been in the restaurant industry for five years and counting. Throughout this time I have worked in a variety of environments as well as people, I have learned to adjust accordingly and absorb information quickly because of this. I am confident in my interpersonal relations and would like to grow these skills as much as possible. I am a full time college student who is focusing in marketing and accounting, but would like to continue school while keeping my passion for travel alive. I am a highly motivated individual who is looking to work in a community of like minded individuals.

Past jobs I have had include;

Working at an Indian cuisine restaurant challenged me to memorize and gain the knowledge of a culture new to me in order to confidently answer guests questions about the menu.

I have worked as a wedding event staff primarily as a bar tender, discovering fun new drinks and learning how to keep track of inventory. I began to remember each customers specific orders to build positive relationships with each.

For the past three summers I have worked at a summer camp for young kids wanting to experience horsemanship. I worked as a stable hand as well as a counselor to pass basic care of equines to the campers.

I work very hard on my schoolwork but have many other hobbies outside of this! I love meeting people and experiencing adventures that make for good stories. I would love to get back into pottery if time and location allow, I roller skate and play roller derby back home, I love spending time with my horse, and have a big heart for insects and reptiles.
