Hi! I’m Kadence, I use they/she pronouns :)

I was born in SLC Utah and have lived here most of my life, other than a few months I lived in BC. Growing up we had a few acres of land where we raised chickens, ducks, turkeys, a rabbit, and had many backyard adventures with neighborhood horses, canals of crawdads, and a large garden. I have since grown; graduating from highschool and then college I now live in a single bedroom apartment working 9-5 and I've realized I very much miss being close to nature, working with my hands, and having fun. I'm traveling around the US for a year, meeting people, surrounding myself with the earth & nature (and all they have to teach), and exploring from other necks of the woods.

I have a bachelor's degree in Gender studies and Ethnic studies and I’m passionate about learning from diverse communities and contributing to meaningful projects. Fun fact: I was given the Presidential Service Award Twice :)

I thrive in collaborative environments and love tackling challenges creatively. Whether it’s helping with sustainable farming, teaching English, or assisting in community initiatives, I’m excited to immerse myself in local traditions and share my skills.

I currently work at my local Ronald McDonald House and am planning to start my adventures in January. When I'm not working I enjoy hammocking, arts and crafts, reading, canoeing, and discovering local art scenes.

I'm excellent at organizing, have experience working in emergency food pantries, working with adults with disabilities, some experience with animals and farm life, I've also helped in construction (painting, building, and sidewalks), and in commercial kitchens.

I'm self directed, driven, and motivated. I have kick-started clubs, summer camps, volunteer projects, volunteer groups, and many other random things haha.

I'm the oldest of five, born and raised in Utah (that's been a wild ride for su-binary and queer haha). I grew up on three acres of land and miss farming. I've been on two humanitarian trips, one to Peru and the other to Fiji. I've also done hundreds of local volunteer hours and love being useful!

I also love animals, bike riding, exploring nature, taking care of my plants, film photography, board games, late night drives, music, reading, and have a medical card
