Hello!!
My name is Justin. I am 26 yo and from Colorado, US!
I will be in New Zealand on a Working Holiday visa starting mid November, and my no-plan plan is stay for a year traveling, working and volunteering. I hope to use Workaway as a tool for meeting locals and other travelers!
I am always up for an adventure, which is why I am excited about joining the Workaway community!! I have spent the past few years working seasonally, traveling in between jobs and when I can make the time.
I like to live a healthy lifestyle and occupy myself with various hobbies!! Most of which include: Brazilian jiu-jitsu, rock-climbing, snowboarding, surfing, and motorcycle-riding. I routinely engage in stretching and breath-work. I enjoy music and reading, and am always up for a good music/book swap! I am always looking for more hobbies to get involved with and enjoy doing them most with others.
I very much look forward to going on my first adventure as a Workawayer!!

Over the years I have worked a variety of jobs because I like to mix it up and learn new things.
As of most recent, I have been planting, removing, and trimming trees within my hometown in CO. Just before that, I was working to build/maintain backcountry hiking trails throughout Montana and Yellowstone, WY. While there, I hiked many many miles and worked alongside horses and packing mules!
In the past I have worked as a lift operator and snowmaker at my home town ski resort, a wild-land firefighter, a gardener, a public radio host, an activity coordinator with the elderly, a barista, and more.
