Hi everyone!
I'm a working professional in the technology industry based in Jakarta, Indonesia (originally from Sumatra). I've lived all over the world including countries such as the US and Angola; I moved to Jakarta last year and am currently taking a gap year to reconnect with my culture, have more time for my hobbies, travel, learn new things and invest in my relationships with both people I've known for a while or recently met - all that good stuff.
I joined Workaway because I'm interested in the opportunity to meet new people across different cultures while doing meaningful work. My current travel goals for this year and the next is Vietnam, Thailand, and all over Indonesia!

I have a degree in Electrical Engineering and have done mostly coding work in my professional career, so I am pretty skillful at IT/Computer stuff. I also do videography because of my interest in filmmaking and have done social media work for different organizations during university. I also have experience in teaching English and Mathematics to middle school, high school, and university students through my time as a part-time Teaching Assistant and Tutor.
However, I am a quick learner and was hoping to do more labor-intensive work that will get me off a computer screen. I want to learn more in terms of gardening/planting, building/construction/DIY, and socially demanding work such as working with customers. As an engineer, I already have experience in making contraptions and working with circuitry but would always like to learn more.
In general, my experiences have shaped me to be an organized, communicative, and innovative worker.

What else ...
I have too many hobbies to count! I enjoy trying new food, social dancing (salsa, bachata, swing), rollerskating, surfing, hiking (and being out in nature in general), arts and crafts, checking out the local arts scene wherever I am, karaoke nights and hanging out with friends. I am also a multi-media artist whose main medium is mostly filmmaking (experimental/non-narrative) and new media.
