Description
Hi all! My name is Jeske (23 y/o) - from the Netherlands but currently studying Environmental Policy in Paris. I love gaining new knowledge, especially about agriculture, food, water, and any related topics. In my free time I love to do sports (mostly volleyball, going to the gym, swimming), go hiking, cook, grab a coffee or go picknicking with friends, and read. I also love travelling and discovering new cultures. In recent years, I have backpacked solo in Thailand and Vietnam, discovered Vienna, Prague and Berlin by train, and done various bike + camping trips in the Netherlands.
As I have been living in Paris now for a year now, I am really missing being in nature. There are just not enough trees here! This is also why I am looking for a Workaway, next to wanting to practice my French.

A few skills and abilities that I think are good to mention here:
- Language exchange / teaching English (and other subjects) - I am fluent in both English (going to a bilingual highschool and studying in English) and Dutch. I have taught English to kids ages 4-13 through immersion when babysitting, and other subjects such as maths and physics. I'd love to exchange languages and especially learn to speak French more fluently.
- Babysitting - I am currently babysitting two French girls (4 and 7 y/o, in English). We love to do creative activities and play outside whenever this is possible.
- Gardening - When I am back in the Netherlands I love to help out in my parents' vegetable garden, whether this be the general maintenance, sowing or harvesting.
I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty, and I'd love to learn new skills!
