Hi! I'm May, a 26 years old traveler from Myanmar. I'm a data analyst by profession and worked full time in Dubai, UAE till July 2024. Now that I am working freelance, I started my solo travel full time for almost 10 months now. I started solo traveling for 3 years now and the deep connection I get with people from around the world during my journey is what motivates me to travel more and expand my horizon. I have been on Couchsurfing for a year and now I'm looking forward to connect further by volunteering while traveling. I love nature, animals and organising/planning. It has been in my bucket list for years to volunteer in animal shelters, teach underprivileged kids and women basic skills and connect more with philanthropists. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing you in my next travel and connecting through our shared interests and making the world a better place for future generations.

English has been my primary language to speak for the past 5 years and I am fluent at it, to a native level and has been complimented by everyone for my clear accent and good vocabulary. I would love to teach English to kids and anyone generally. My native language is Burmese and I learned to speak and understand Hindi at a young age through Bollywood and my family. I've been learning Spanish for a while now and I understand well and speak a little bit of Hindi. I would very much love to practice and improve my language skills with others during my travel.

I am a data analyst by profession with a masters degree in Data Science. I chose this career based on my love for organising, analysing and planning which I like to believe I'm good at. Few of my hobbies include photography and video editing, writing, indoor gardening which I once had 40+ plants in my house propagating and acrylic painting. Apart from that, I love animals especially strays (I carry cat treats in all my backpacks and while traveling). I've been a primary school tutor for a year and a cashier during my university years which I throughly enjoyed. I'm up for new challenges and experiences that I may get to work through workaway and contribute my hidden skills (haha) to the test too. I have also volunteered as a swim instructor and at a hostel for two weeks each in India.
