Description
I (Giles, Male, 26 years old) am from New Zealand and looking for a workaway opportunity in France from the end of March to the end of April. My girlfriend Jaime (Pictured) will not be joining on this leg.
I really want to get into French culture and would love to learn more of the language.
I love nature and growing things, working around the house on projects (Painting, landscaping etc) and cooking.
Back home I worked for the government and PwC as an accountant and tax advisor.

Je veux vraiment entrer dans la culture française et j'aimerais apprendre davantage la langue.
J'aime la nature et faire pousser des choses, travailler dans la maison sur des projets (peinture, aménagement paysager, etc.) et cuisiner.
De retour chez moi, j'ai travaillé pour le gouvernement et PwC en tant que comptable et conseiller fiscal.

Giles is a chartered accountant with 3 years of work experience, plus governance experience as a board member of multiple not-for-profits. Giles also has done various landscaping odd-jobs (painting, pruning, wood-stacking, etc) as well as cared for animals on a small lifestyle block (cows, sheep and chickens).
Jaime holds a Master of Climate Change Science and Policy and worked for 2.5 years with the NZ government designing policies. Jaime has also worked on an organic vegetable seedling farm, as an academic tutor, in hospitality and retail.
We both grew up semi-rurally on lifestyle blocks and have experience doing a bunch of odd jobs around our homes- like weeding, woodstacking, leaf blowing, pruning, cleaning, painting etc. We both like feeling a sense of purpose and having good work/life balance filled with lots of good food. We love to cook.

What else ...
We both love cooking as a way to relax and have fun! This is a big part of our life at home and love cooking for other people. Food is also an huge highlight of travel for us. We also enjoy games such a monopoly deal and rummikub, and learning about new ideas/cultures and skills. Giles is also very interested in learning new languages.
