My next destination:
Japan - from Oct 2024 until Sep 2025 View allDescription
I recently graduated from university in England after studying Geology so naturally I love learning about the world around me and spending time in nature! Now I am in Japan on a working holiday visa after self-studying Japanese for about 6 years now and I am looking to fully experience this amazing country.
It was always my dream to come to Japan but previously my big plan to work, travel and experience Japan was stopped by the Covid pandemic. However now I have finished university I have another great chance to fulfil those dreams to experience living and working here in Japan and it is such an exciting opportunity!
What I believe best describes me is that I’m an outgoing, openminded and hardworking person and I love learning about different cultures and getting to know new people as well as trying and doing new things! I am looking to experience authentic Japanese culture while developing my Japanese language skills along the way too. If it involves meeting interesting people and learning more about Japan, then I am in! I hope you will consider working with me too!Interests

More details about your skills
I am open to pretty much any role and I have a wide range of skills and experience. I would consider myself someone who is openminded, hardworking and I can adapt to any task that is needed. I have been studying Japanese for 6 years, so it’s a dream come true to finally be here and I’m very excited to work here! Below I have outlined some of these skills and experiences I believe give a good view of my character.
I studied geology for 3 years at the University of Leeds and most notably during this time I was involved in frequent fieldtrips to remote areas, such as a 28 day trip part of my final dissertation to a remote part of Scotland where we independently mapped and hiked across tough terrain. Experiences like this show my extensive outdoor experience and an independent, practical and hardworking attitude.
I have plenty of experience in hospitality such as working as a barista at my family’s cafe for most my life and experience in a local pub/restaurant doing jobs from waiting to help in the kitchen. I also worked for 2 years at a convenience store as a cashier and shop floor staff member. Another role I did was as a warehouse assistant at a craft beer warehouse where I prepared heavy kegs for international delivery.
As well as formal roles I am also experienced with DIY as my mum is a carpenter and I have often helped her with painting and other manual work roles around the house. I love the outdoors/sports and working with people, so I believe you’ll find that I’m an active and energetic person to have around to help wherever I’m needed!Age

What else ...
I love the outdoors, sports, games, history, learning about cultures and languages but I am open minded to all things, so really I just want to experience new things and meet new people!
