Description
My name is Iris and I'm from the Netherlands. As someone who loves to go camping and be in nature, I'm working for an outdoor sports company, as an instructor, and in the reception and restaurant on the campsite. I studied audiovisual design and draftsmanship, so I like to do creative projects. In November my journey begins. I want to try and learn a lot of new things. Get to know a place and the people, not only as a tourist, but as someone that does something for the community and environment too. For me, there's plenty of time to stay longer at one place and travel slow. Other cultures and it's origins deeply fascinate me, and I want to experience how it feels to be in a certain place. I think that's only truly attainable by giving something first.
Right now I am in Mexico. In February I will go to Hawaii, and February 20 to Japan.

Currently I work for an outdoor sports company, as an instructor at their campsite in the reception and the restaurant/bar. I have previous experience in hospitality. In the past I worked as a dental technician, that included working with materials like gypsum, wax, resin etc. I studied film, so I love making video's, and I'm pretty good with computers. Also studying draftsmanship and have been drawing all my life, after travelling I'll go back to the academy to continue my study. Singing and playing some guitar is something I love to do (I'm in a country band). I like to do physical work, to maintain or create something, or to work with people. I thinks some of my best qualities are creativity, an eye for detail and good communication. Always open and excited to learn something new!

I'm sensitive to gluten. Cross-contamination is no problem at all. Nothing serious will happen if I eat it accidentally. It might seem a bit difficult but I'm happy to help out with food and ingrediënts.
