Description

My name is Isabelle and I am a freelance developer who loves to travel!! I just got back from a year in the Caribbean and Mexico where I was doing loads of volunteering (2 of the opportunities I found here on Workaway).

I love volunteering mainly because it allows me to meet locals, learn a lot about the culture of the place I am in, and be part of a community - this past year I made so many friends through volunteering :) .

I also picked up so many new skills this year through volunteering and love that it gives me this opportunity. (For example, I starting learning Spanish this year and I loved the fact that Workaways let me practice Spanish)

A bit about me: I’m outgoing, love meeting new people and I have loads of interests including cooking, trying lots of different local foods while I am travelling, cycling and knitting. There are so many places over the world I want to visit because I find learning about other cultures super fun and fascinating.

I have experience in technology, tutoring (Maths and English), hospitality and marketing, and I am a great cook so I have a range of skills that could be useful! I'm generally just happy to help out with whatever though so I'd be open to all kinds of workaways!

I have experience in doing many different types of roles that could be useful.

In hospitality I have worked as a waitress (at both casual and high-end establishments), bartender, events hostess and promotional staff.
I also spent a lot of time privately tutoring mathematics to school students and also working as a teaching assistant in university chemistry courses.
I am great with technology, so can help efficiently carry out administrative tasks and help with social media marketing. I am also very skilled at coding.

My experience in education and hospitality has made me great at communicating and working with people. I am also a very quick learner so I’m confident that I can pick up new skills specific to a job very quickly!

I should also add that I'm a great cook, so if anyone needs me to cook any big meals in a hostel, that would be perfect.

I have strong skills in video production/ editing. I am also interested in renovating and DIY projects.

Find so many things fun and interesting, so here is a list of things I’m interested in and love to do:

Especially love making food with people and trying new cuisines wherever I am traveling.
