Hi I'm Ilana, but I go by Ian. I'm a farmer, florist, baker, musician, artist, event organizer, and am always seeking and building community around me. I'm interested in understanding how we can improve the way we coexist with the other species that inhabit the earth and imagining what the future of humanity could look like when we collaborate with our environment. I'm always up for an adventure, a long chat over coffee, some hard work in a garden or field, or a swim in the ocean.

I have several years of farming experience (both flower and vegetable) and many other various skills, such as baking beautiful cakes, hosting poetry workshops, building websites, and arts & crafts. I hold a BSc in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology. I've worked on the board of charities, so am familiar with grant-writing and the NGO world. As well, I have lots of experience with child care from providing babysitting services and my experience as an after school science teacher. I'm a natural public speaker and love interacting with new people. I've lived with pets my whole life, and am very comfortable working with animals. I'm happy to help with anything you need!
