Description

I'm Dave and I love backpacking. I have enjoyed living and travelling in a number of places around the world, be it for a few years or for a few weeks; I love creating connections with places and people. I'm always seeking out new experiences, and throw myself into whatever it is I am doing at that moment. I can easily adapt to being independent or with other people.

I’m excited to volunteer with Workaway because I want to learn more about sustainable living practices around the world and connect with like-minded people. In the past I was a claim adjuster and I decided that there is more to live for.

I’m also planning an awesome adventure. I’ll hike the entire trans Canadian trail in September 2023. Along the way, I would love to learn as much as possible about your place/area while I share or learn new skills. I can stay a few days, weeks or months.

Gardening and farming skills: I love nature and animals, I can help hosts with tasks such as planting, harvesting, weeding, watering, feeding, milking, or taking care of pets.

Cooking and baking skills: I enjoy cooking or baking, I can help hosts with preparing meals, snacks, or desserts. I can also share my recipes, or learn from your local cuisine.

Building and maintenance skills: I can help with painting and being a good second pair of hand in any project.

Computer and Social Networks skills: I can setup wifi network, troubleshooting computers and help you how to manage webpage, marketing and social networks.

Other: I'm an ex claim adjuster. I can read legal contract for insurance.

Also : I was also a care assistant in private and public domain (elderly, spinal cord injury)
