Hello, our future hosts,

We are a Czech-British couple with a wee puppy called Žižka. We love travelling, of course, however we are now searching for a place to settle down. We have lots of workaway experience and would love to use this as an opportunity to volunteer close to Spanish Pyrenees while searching for a right place to settle down.

Petra left her office job and 'normal' life in the Czech Republic in 2018. Since that, she's been travelling with her backpack, working in the UK for a while and doing workaway and seasonal jobs around Europe and South America. Since she left her home country, she managed to obtain a TEFL certificate to teach English, to become a yoga and meditation teacher certified in India and a Reiki practitioner. Petra is very passionate about yoga, She's now starting her own little online yoga business. She is an experienced recepionist and administration and account nerd but her dream is to become a qualified yoga therapist and run yoga retreats once we settle down one day. Besides yoga, she enjoyes creating stuff such as photography, art and DIY things.

Darren has been on the road with his backpack on and off for more than 10 years. He has done many workaways and seasonal jobs around Europe and travelled around a few countries in Asia and the US. He's very skilled in many different fields from bartending to DIY and building projects. He's got over 10 years of hospitality experience. Recently, he became a certified English teacher and taught English as a foreign language in an English summer school which he really enjoyed (he's a natural teacher and all students love him :). Darren's biggest passion is cooking. He loves exploring recipes from different cuisines.

We are not big fans of cities and prefer quieter places and rural areas where we can meet local people, surrounded by hidden gems in nature. In general, we want to live a sustainable and active life. We both enjoy hiking, wild camping and bouldering. Darren is interested in creating art pieces from wood, fishing and kayaking, Petra plays the ukulele and piano. All in all, I would say we are adventurous and a very easy going couple.

We both speak English and basic Spanish, Petra also speaks Czech as it's her mother tongue. We would love to improve our Spanish wbile being close to the nature.

We can help with many different jobs in your place such as cooking, gardening, teaching English and/or yoga and meditation, doing administration and reception tasks, cleaning, DIY projects, farming, nature guiding for guests, etc.

What else ...

Our Žižka is still a puppy of border collie. We've been spending a lot of time by training him and for his young age he is doing really great. He's potty trained and knows the basic commands. He's pretty chilled and get along easily.
