Hello! I am from California and just finished my first year of medical school in NYC! All of my best travel experiences have been those in which I have been able to spend an extended period of time in a community (for example, I lived for 3 months in rural Uganda and for 3 months in Taichung, Taiwan!). Therefore, I joined Workaway to be able to exchange culture around the world. I am also excited to share what I can about California, the English language, or anything else I can teach!

A little bit more about me: I am a very independent, reliable, and optimistic person. I love to hike, ski, and do anything outdoors. I'm always open to learning new skills. I am excited to meet you!!

Hospitality: I am highly skilled in customer service, food sanitation/hygiene, and meal prep. I worked for a season for the #1 luxury active travel company (Backroads). I also have worked as a tour guide.

DIY: I have basic carpentry experience. I have installed floors and built cabinets, as well as spent time in woodshops. I am very experienced with arts and crafts of all kinds :)

Academics: My university degree is in electrical engineering -- I have worked at companies like Apple and Tesla designing their products! Since I am going to be a doctor, I also have lots of experience working in medical clinics.

Sports: I am an avid skiier and hiker. I have coached soccer.

Driving: Experienced in winter driving and can drive a trailer.
