Description
Hello!
I’m Ryoko Yahagi from Japan, a curious and open-minded person who finds joy in discovering new places, meeting people from different walks of life, and exchanging stories. My friends often describe me as cheerful, enthusiastic, and ready for any kind of adventure—big or small. I love stepping out of my comfort zone because I believe those moments spark the best personal growth.
I’m happiest when I’m learning something new—whether it’s a skill, a recipe, or a local tradition. Growing as a person and making genuine human connections motivate me to keep exploring.
One of my biggest dreams right now is to travel to Spain. I’m fascinated by its culture, history, and the warmth of its people. I’m hoping to immerse myself in the local way of life and maybe pick up some of the language. Beyond sightseeing, I want to contribute positively wherever I go—by volunteering, helping with daily tasks, or even sharing a piece of my own culture.
In my free time, I love cooking, taking pictures, playing piano, reading, painting, etc because it keeps me grounded and fuels my creativity.
I’m fairly new to Workaway, but I’ve had a few smaller volunteer experiences, like at a cat shelter and babysitting. Those experiences taught me the importance of kindness and teamwork, and now I’m excited to bring that same spirit to hosts around the world.
I can’t wait to meet new friends, learn from local cultures, and hopefully leave each place just a little bit better than when I found it. Thank you for reading my profile! If you think I’d be a good fit for your project or place, I’d be delighted to connect and learn more about your needs.
See you soon!Interests

More details about your skills
I’m a resourceful, adaptable person with a background in hospitality, customer service, and administration. I’ve worked as a library assistant at an American college, developing strong communication and attention-to-detail skills, and part-time in a hotel and wedding banquet setting, honing my ability to coordinate events and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
In 2023, I interned in Hawaii as a restaurant and café manager, strengthening my leadership, problem-solving, and team-building abilities. Later, I gained further insight into promotional strategies and corporate communication while working at a hotel front desk and in the marketing department of an American accounting firm.
Most recently, I received an offer from an airline, reflecting my passion for travel, customer relations, and cultural exchange. I thrive in fast-paced, multicultural environments and tackle challenges with a positive, can-do attitude.
Outside of work, I love learning new skills—from cooking to event planning—and meeting people from different backgrounds. I speak Japanese and English and am happy to help others practice these languages. I value kindness, creativity, and mutual respect, and look forward to contributing my skills to any volunteer project.Age
