Hi! I'm Geert, a 21 year old student from The Netherlands. I study Landscape Architecture and i therefore am interested in everything that contributes to this field of study: from art history to water- and land management; from organic agriculture techniques to design stories. Learning new things about the world and getting new perspectives from other people gives me great pleasure and I try to use that new information in my work.
Besides my study, I am also interested in photography, swimming, gardening and reading.

Every year I write down my New Year's resolutions, which almost always include learning a new language. Duolingo helps a bit, but I reckon that total immersion in a language is the best teacher. Understanding and speaking more than my mother tongue and English is something I would like to be able to do!

I am a fourth-year bachelor student Landscape Architecture. I can help design a landscape, both on small and larger scale. I did courses on planting, so I can advise about the aesthetic composition of perennials, shrubs and trees (keep in mind that I am a student, not a professional :)) I did courses on soil and water management, so I have some knowledge about that, but I am very keen on learning more about these topics.

I have skills in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Indesign. I once did projects with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition. I am currently learning AutoCAD.

During the weekends I work at the garden centre in my city, which includes things like advising customers, planting plants in new pots, cleaning plants etc.

I do language and grammar checks in Dutch for a Communication firm.

During my free time, I love to play board games with my roommates, especially strategic or language games. I also enjoy walking in nature and looking at the vegetation. I recently started analog photography, so that is a work in progress.
