Hello! I’m Laura from Hungary!
I have a deep passion for travel and love discovering new destinations, learning about various cultures, and connecting with nature. From a young age, I felt a strong bond with animals, which inspired me to study veterinary medicine. Right now, I’m in my first year of veterinary school in Hungary, and I’m eager to gain practical experience while exploring more of the world.
One of my lifelong dreams is to spend a summer in Asia. I’m captivated by its rich cultures, stunning landscapes, and unique traditions. To me, traveling is more than just visiting new places; it’s about building meaningful relationships with people from diverse backgrounds. I enjoy making new friends, sharing stories, and experiencing local life up close.
Workaway seems like the ideal way to merge my interests—helping others while traveling. I’m excited to contribute in any way possible, whether that’s caring for animals, assisting on a farm, teaching, or engaging in community projects. With my background in animal care from my studies, I would love to work in shelters, farms, or conservation initiatives, but I’m also open to new experiences and learning different skills.
I’m particularly looking forward to trying local cuisines! The food in Asia is so different from what I’m accustomed to in Hungary, and I can’t wait to explore new tastes and traditional dishes. I believe that food is a wonderful way to connect with people and gain a deeper understanding of their culture.
I consider myself an open-minded, friendly, and dedicated individual who is always ready for an adventure. I love being outdoors, hiking, and enjoying nature. I also thrive in team settings and adapt well to new environments. My aim is to make a positive impact wherever I go while embracing new challenges and experiences.
I’m excited about the incredible opportunities that Workaway presents and can’t wait to meet inspiring individuals along the journey. If you think I would be a good fit...Interests

More details about your skills
My expertise primarily lies in animal care and household tasks. As a first-year veterinary student, I have hands-on experience with various animals and a deep passion for their welfare. I feel confident in looking after pets, assisting with farm animals, and volunteering at animal shelters. I am always eager to expand my knowledge in animal care and would love to gain practical experience in diverse settings.
Alongside my work with animals, I also have a solid background in household chores and maintenance. I pride myself on being responsible and organized, enjoying the process of keeping spaces clean and orderly. Whether it’s tackling daily tasks, cleaning, or helping with household duties, I’m always willing to pitch in. I recognize the value of teamwork in creating a welcoming environment and am ready to contribute wherever necessary.
Baking is another passion of mine that I cherish. I learned this skill from my grandmother, and I find joy in creating homemade goodies. I am proficient in baking various breads, pastries, and desserts, and I love sharing my treats with others. If there’s a chance to assist in a kitchen or introduce people to some Hungarian baked specialties, I would be thrilled to do so!
I also took part in a youth exchange program in the Netherlands, where I got to collaborate with individuals from various backgrounds. This experience helped me enhance my communication and teamwork abilities. I learned valuable lessons in adaptability, collaboration, and the significance of cultural exchange, which I now apply in every new setting I encounter.
I am a fast learner and always ready to embrace new experiences. Whether it’s gardening, farm work, working with children, or helping out in a café, I am enthusiastic about taking on new challenges and broadening my skill set. I believe that Workaway is a wonderful opportunity for both giving and learning, and I am excited about the chance to gain new experiences while assisting others.Age
