Hello, welcome to my profile! My name is Gabriel Santos, I'm 26 years old and I'm Brazilian.

I'm just starting my journey as a volunteer through Workaway, but I've already had 4 other volunteer experiences. I hope I can contribute to you and learn from you too.



MY EXPERIENCES:
- My main work is with web design, so I know how to create institutional websites, landing pages, from design to development to get the website up and running.

- I'm skilled with Adobe programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and After Effects.

- I've done 4 house sittings in the United States where I had to feed the pets, take them for walks, play with them and clean up after them, in addition to keeping the house tidy until the residents returned. - I've helped out as a waiter in a restaurant for a while, serving dishes to customers.

- My father is a construction foreman, so I spent part of my life helping to build houses. I prepared cement, carried bricks, cement, sand, wood, etc.

- I helped renovate my mother's house by painting the inside of the house.

- I grew up helping with church activities, such as clothing drives, camping trips, and organizing events.



PROFESSION:
I currently don't have a steady job in a company. I only do some freelance work as a web designer, but I've worked in advertising agencies, software companies, and insurance companies.



EDUCATION:
I have a degree in Graphic Design, but I currently work in the area of ​​User Experience and User Interface (My porfoil: https://www.behance.net/gabri_sts).



HOBBY:
I like being in contact with nature, hiking, going to waterfalls, I love swimming, I like playing video games, taking pictures of landscapes, watching series and movies, especially comedies, and I like to try new recipes in the kitchen.



WHAT I EXPECT FROM VOLUNTEERING:
- I spent 6 years working in an insane corporate environment, so I decided to have a more cultural experience, learn new skills, and do activities that I probably wouldn't do on a daily basis at home.

- I would like to learn a new language, be it Spanish, French, Italian or another. I used to take some classes on Duolingo, but there's nothing like learning on a daily basis.

- Continue practicing my English and whenever possible learn new words to improve it.

- Learn local cuisines from each country.



I'm excited to explore new places and have transformative experiences. I want to develop myself and be open to learning and teaching, because I understand that mutual exchange of knowledge is essential for life.

I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty, whether it's painting walls or helping with anything else. I'm a person who easily adapts to new environments and challenges, and I'm always willing to learn and collaborate with whatever is needed.
