Hallo! Hi there! ¡Hola!
Nice to meet you. I'm Kim, 24, and I'm from the Netherlands. I have just finished my masters in translation (English, Spanish and Dutch). Ever since I went interrailing when I was 18 years old, I knew that I wanted to travel again once I had the time. Which is why I would like to take some time now to see the world and get to know myself a bit better. On top of that, I would love to get in touch with new people and cultures.
Despite studying English and Spanish, I have always had a love for Scandinavia. I love the nature there and have always dreamed of going on the most gorgeous hikes there. As someone who loves languages, I have, of course, tried to learn a bit of Norwegian and oh my do I love how it sounds. It's so sing-songy, it's wonderful.
I have always been passionate about stories. I love to read books and it is my dream to work as a translator, in order to make stories more accessible to others. I also love to tell stories, particularly in improv theatre. I'm also an advocate for veganism, and have been fully vegan for the past 5+ years. Other things I like to do include: pole dancing, hiking, yoga, singing, dancing and crocheting.
I have never before been on a workaway and cannot wait for this new experience!

During my studies I have learned a thing or two about intercultural communication and translation. I am fluent in English and Dutch and conversational in Spanish.
I also have about 6 years experience working as a waitress, so I'm quite sociable :)
I'm currently keeping about 15 plants alive, which is also a skill, and am decent at vegan cooking (as long as there is a recipe I can follow).
Should people want to, I'm always willing to teach the basics of crocheting, improv and even pole dancing (although there needs to be a pole available for that last one obviously).

I love fantasy!! Books, Dungeons and Dragons, fantasy fairs, I love them!
I also love board games, although I'm not that great at winning.
