Hi, I’m Friederike and I’m 26 years old.
I just finished my education to be a pastry cook. And as I'm having some free time now (before I start further educations) I would love to travel through europe and do some stops at different places.
I already got some work away experiences…after finishing school I worked one summer in the mountains of Switzerland and learned how to make cheese which was quite tough but also a great experience. Afterwards I traveled with a friend through southern America where we also did two workaway stops.
My last workaway experience was in Sweden on a tree farm. They also had a small cafe where I worked most of the time. This might have been one of the reasons why I decided to become a pastry cook afterwards.
I really like to work and I often think it doesn’t matter that much what kind of work it is if there is a nice team, a nice place and if you feel that it’s some meaningful work you do.Interests

The last years I learned to be a pastry cook in a small Patisserie in Bamberg. I love to work with my hands and I’m very happy that I had the chance to learn all these skills.
But as I grew up on a small organic farm in the middle of Germany I also like to work outside and to be with animals. I think that’s why I already made a few agriculture experiences with work away, for example on a garden farm in middle chile or a tree farm in sweden.
One summer I learned how to make cheese on an alp in switzerland.
After finishing my further educations as a pastry cook I want to come back to my families farm and start my own bakery because I love the idea of using our own grain and our own eggs for bread, cake and pastry’s.
So I think I got different experiences already but I'm looking forward to make new ones, see how other people work and learn new skills!Age

What else ...
As I already lived on different farms, I like to play cards or other games in the evening. I like to make music (I used to play the violin and I try to play the guitar), love hiking and being outside:)
