Hey everyone :) I'm currently living in The Netherlands. I'm interested in reading books, a walk around nature, working on creative projects, and exploring new spots / destinations :)

Description

Hi :) My name is Faima (23). Over the past seven years, I have completed two diplomas in Fashion Design. I have also worked for various clothing brands, including one in Berlin, where I lived for six months. In 2023, I embarked on my first solo trip to Thailand for a month. In 2024, I continued backpacking, starting in Thailand, then traveling through Laos and Vietnam. During my travels, I volunteered in English teaching, helped at a homeless organization, and worked in marketing/social media management.

I consider myself spontaneous and adventurous, always eager to take on new challenges. Currently, I am back in the Netherlands. Besides working in Amsterdam, I am still volunteering by teaching English online to children and young adults in Thailand and Vietnam.

Since the age of 14 I started working in the catering industry. I grew up in a small village in the country side of The Netherlands, there weren’t a lot of opportunities for me. I’ve worked in multiple restaurant where I worked as a waiter, dishwasher and management. Since I turned 17 years old I’ve started studying Fashion Design, where I got the opportunity to work for two companies as a intern including tasks such as; designing, styling, look book shoots and production during runway shows.

After receiving my secondary vocational degree, I started studying a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design at Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. In the third year I did an internship for a clothing brand in Berlin, Germany. Besides school I worked as a Sales Associate at Diesel and Krakatau. During my graduation year I was the head of production for the Orbit Fashion Show. The skills leadership and management were the highlights during that process.

What else ...

I've also have some job experience with Babysitting. The kids I was babysitting were a 4 and 1-year old. My mom was always working as a teacher at school with kids from all kinds of ages since I was very young. Besides that my mom studied Art as well, but she hasn't managed to finish it because of having kids at an early age. The moment I needed to make the decision Art or Pedagogical employee. I've chose Art. Art is still my passion, but doing certain projects with kids was always in my interest. In that case I'm going in my mom footsteps.
