Hi, I am currently a Science teacher at a Secondary school on the Isle of Man! 🇮🇲 I love teaching my pupils about how the world works - I have a particular interest it Biology and I have been lucky to complete a Bsc and Masters in Conservation related subjects. This allowed me amazing opportunities to travel and experience life and nature in Madagascar and Ghana. It also highlighted to me the importance of living in a place rather than just experiencing the tourist trail and this is one of the reasons that workaway has interested me. I love being outside, walking/trekking and just enjoying life!

I am a good communicator and team player, skills I have learnt working in retail alongside my studying.
I am extremely passionate about nature and conservation and having completed two degrees in this area means I am knowledgable about species and how we can help protect them
Sadly I don’t speak any other languages fluently other than English - however I can count 1-10 in Japanese, Welsh, German and French - not the most ideal skill but I would love to learn more
I am good at adapting to new environments and love a challenge. When I collected my research data for my Masters I camped in a rainforest for three months and that tested my resilience. It wasn’t always easy but I had the best time and learnt a lot about myself!
I love trying to fix things and learnt a few skills with a drill whilst I worked at a furniture shop - I am by no means an expert but I will try anything!Age
