Description
Hello! Before Workaway I was living in Brighton, England, and working for a community wood recycling social enterprise. I have since been travelling around the UK experiencing alternative ways of living while I have the opportunity to. I've spent a lot of the last year on the West Coast of Scotland - which has been an incredibly enriching experience - and I am excited to continue this journey.
I love being out in nature: hiking, camping, swimming; as well as meeting new people and sharing food, music + laughter along the way. I really enjoy challenging myself to do things I've not done before and throw myself into projects with dedication and enthusiasm. I'm a very social person but also happily independent (so I love team work but am content in my own company too!)Interests

- Experience working in communications for environmental organisations (both a food waste charity and wood recycling enterprise) - running social media channels and taking phone-calls/emails
- General housekeeping skills - I've worked in a hostel before so cleaning to a high standard, making beds, laundry, etc... I am very proficient at helping out around the house, helping with food prepping, cooking, tidying, whatever may need doing!
- Experience of conservation at a field co-operative where I spend time every Summer. This includes some basic skills of working on the land (hedge-trimming, weeding, willow-weaving), but it would be great to improve upon these and gain knowledge of permaculture/organic gardening practises in the future
- Lots of experience in hospitality roles from working in cafes, in kitchen and front of house positions
- Art and design - anything creative I'm always keen to get stuck into as well. Photo taking/ sign making/ wall painting...whatever may need doing in this area, I'll bring precision and enthusiasm!Age
