I am a 27 year old from Oxford in the UK. I work full-time for an animal welfare charity and one day hope to set up an animal sanctuary. I have workaway experience on farms and homesteads in America. In my spare time I sing in a gospel choir, I'm in a country music band and I love love love to dance, so I'm always up for going to see some live music.

I have experience working on a farm with rescue animals in Texas (sadly their profile is no longer on workaway so I don't have a review from them) - my job was mainly looking after the goats: feeding, mucking out their enclosure, taking them for walks around the property, etc. Other duties included general farm labour e.g. flipping compost and all the rest of it. I have also worked on a house building project and done a fair bit of forestry.

Our guest room was barely put back together after being remodeled, but she just took it in stride and never complained. Yvonne is a queen and possibly the most fun person in Louisiana. She puts so much into ensuring a real cultural experience - it was great meeting all of her friends and neighbours for dinner parties and festivals, trying her homemade squirrel gumbo and eating fried shrimp on the bayou.
