Hello! My name is Elyse, and I am from California, USA! I am new to workaway, and I think it would be a great opportunity to connect with people and learn about different cultures and ways of life. In California, I am blessed to live in the suburbs where I am able to enjoy hikes in the nearby mountains and drive less than an hour away to beautiful beaches. I am currently applying to graduate school to obtain my doctorate in physical therapy. I like to stay active, and I believe that movement is something everyone should incorporate into their daily lives. Helping others has always been my calling and to do so through healthy methods is, to me, the perfect combination of my career goals and passions. I will be travelling to Europe in March and am looking for a new adventure! I will be coming to Europe with an open mind and open heart to gain knowledge, skills, new friends, and memories!

I really enjoy working on a team and collaborating with each other towards a common goal. Brainstorming ideas and solutions for different problems or tasks are the type of jobs that are very fulfilling to me. The jobs I have had in the past, including my current job, have all been an amazing experience because of the people I was fortunate enough to work with. I also love any job or opportunities that allow me to be outdoors! I often tell people that I am like a plant, I need the sun! If there is way that I can be moving or simply use my hands, I am all for it! I work efficiently and am always ready for the task at hand.

I love to dance! Music is the most beautiful language, and I feel the most grounded when lost in the rhythm. I am a big fan of raves and absolutely love electronic dance music. I am also interested in yoga! I have been going to class more frequently and would love to immerse myself into that way of life.
