G’day!
We're Drew and Jayne, a fun, young Australian couple currently journeying through Europe in our trusty campervan since February 2024. Leaving behind our full-time careers in Australia (Jayne as a speech pathologist, and Drew in business and marketing), we're on an adventure to explore different cultures and cuisines across the world.
As both of us have grown up in families who farm livestock and own properties, we naturally have experience working on farms, we're adept at various tasks around the property, be it fencing, tending to stock, planting trees, construction, or providing basic healthcare to animals.
We are both animal lovers and have cared for all kinds of animals - from goldfish to dogs, horses to sheep. We dearly miss our furry companions back home and would relish the opportunity to bond with yours, if you have any of course.
We consider ourselves to be outgoing and lighthearted, we enjoy sharing conversations and learning about other people and their stories. We would love to get to know our hosts through these experiences.
We are excited to dive into any projects or tasks that are required. We're thrilled at the prospect of immersing ourselves in European culture while lending a hand wherever needed. The opportunity to volunteer and get to know locals in their everyday environment would be an amazing memory for our European trip!

Drew:
I have come from a career in business sales and marketing but also consider myself to be more than capable with hands on activities that life can throw at you. I have grown up around my grandparents cattle farm and have assisted them with many projects around the farm. These include the collection and splitting of firewood, construction jobs, pest control, rounding up livestock, and the operation of motorbikes and quads.
I have some experience with wood and metalworking and recently I have built a custom bench with drawers and storage for our van using basic hand tools whilst starting our trip in the UK. Living on the road requires you to be creative with projects so this has come with some fun challenges!
Given my background in sales and marketing I would love to help out where possible in any business related activities. My career was a role in the business to business (B2B) sales and marketing industry where I sold and marketed high pressure air cylinders for paintball, breathing air and scuba to other businesses and built strong relationships with my customers.
I am also the 'chef' of the house (or van in our case) and very much enjoy cooking, I would love to get involved with the cooking and learn about local cuisines. I am very much a multicultural cook and cook a variety of dishes from around the world.

Jayne:
I have grown up on a sheep farm in a country town where I spent my childhood around livestock. Life on the farm as many know means there are no two days that are the same. It has given me the ability to perform tasks such as lamb marking, vaccinating and crutching, fencing work, livestock mustering, and feeding lambs, horses, chickens and dogs. We also have horses on the farm that we once used to ride and now are enjoying their "retirement". I have also completed a certificate in wool classing that I did with my father who teaches agriculture.

As for my career, I worked as a paediatric speech pathologist where I worked with children with additional learning needs from 6 months to 16 years. This role also required strict documentation after therapy sessions which has developed my organisational skills. In addition to this career, I also have experience in the hospitality industry as a bartender for a number of years while I was studying, this role required me to have strong communication skills with both my team and our customers.

I love travellng and am thoroughly loving our adventures abroad so far. I look forward to learning from others and broardening my perspective of ways to complete tasks on and off the farm. We look forward to hearing from you :)

What else ...

Drew:
In my spare time I enjoy playing golf, I even decided to buy a set of clubs at St.Andrews Scotland when I played there so I can use them on our trip!
I am a big lover of all types of music, especially electronic genres. I DJ occasionally which I love as it connects me to the music I love and listen to.
Although I obviously haven't had the chance to now I'm on the road, I also play games on my computer with friends.

Jayne:
Some of my hobbies include learning languages, listening to audiobooks, music, catching up with friends, going to the beach and getting out in nature.
I'm also a huge lover of animals (especially dogs) being from the farm!
