Description
Hi there !
I'm a queer French-Red River Métis and Mexican-mestiza visual artist that is influenced and inspired by all my different communities. I believe art has the power to connect us to the stories of our ancestors, lands and communities. My art seeks to help continue the resiliency and fluidity of my cultures and help re-imagine ways knowledge and traditions can be transferred.
I also have a degree in Indigenous Studies & International Development Studies. Focusing my studies on Michif ways of being and resiliency as well as challenging the idea of 'development' and how it has impacted the Global South and Indigenous communities within Turtle Island.
I am someone who believes travelling is one of the best ways of gaining experience and learning. I have been travelling since I was young and have done many backpacking trips, throughout South America, Europe, Australia and Asia.
This year I have decided to spend time in Mexico to deepen my ancestral connection to the land and culture.Interests
