Hello everyone!

My name is Dominika and I am from a lovely country in the heart od Europe - the Czech Republic.

I recently finished my studies during which I tried to travel as much as possible. I visited many countries in Europe but also spent two months in the USA and three months in Sri Lanka where I started to learn how to surf and loved it!

Now, that my studies are over, I would love to get to know the world more and wish to meet inspiring people along the way. So I though what better way to do it than with Workaway!

It's safe to say that I am passionate about meeting new people and getting to know them. I find it as the best way to expand my knowledge and develop as a person.

I am very open minded and respect is key for me. I love to eat great food and also cook it (although I still have a lot to learn haha). I absolutely adore animals mostly because I grew up in a beautiful village surrounded by forrests and spent many of my days caring for cats, dogs (golden retrievers are my soft spot), chickens and at one point two very stubborn sheep. In Sri Lanka I also fell in love with surfing, I enjoy the outdoors, hiking and the ocean!

I hope to bring joy and laugher to any place I go and I am looking forward to meeting everyone along the way!

More details about my language interests
I am able to teach English but mainly conversation and grammar for children. Conversation English with adults is also possible, but grammar might be too difficult for me to pass on. I would love to learn new languages. Currently I'm learning Spanish (but open to any other language as well!)

I finished my Bachelor's degree in business, although, realized it probably wasn't the best fit for me. Nevertheless, I have the knowledge.

I love to build things and try to practise as much as I can when visiting my hometown. I have experience in caring for animals since I grew up with them. Also, I teach children English (mainly conversation) here in the Czech Republic. I've also spent some time looking after children whilst in the USA and love their company.

I am also used to gardening since we have a very big garden with fruit trees, many vegetables and a big lawn that needs maintenance.

I've worked in a hotel and know how to work with bookings and taking care of guests. I've worked as a bartender in the center of Prague and know well how to interact with guests and insure they'll have a pleasant experience.
Lastly, I have experience in working with seniors because I spent some time helping out in a seniors home - what a lovely experience!

I have no issue with getting my hands dirty. Matter of fact, I love it!

I love to read and listen to music. It always eases my mind.

Hiking is something that I enjoy very much. Spending time in nature is my kind of therapy. If the Czech Republic had a sea I'd probably spend a lot of time there as well as taking walks along the beach, running there and surfing.

I love to go swimming in rivers and lakes. During summertime I go cannoing on the river that flows right through our village. I also love to drive!

Since I am from the Czech Republic, the country that consumes the most beer in the world (not sure if I should be proud of that), I have to admit that a cold beer in the summer heat is also a pleasant experience.
