Hello, I'm Tom (23). I've just finished uni and I'd like to get to every continent before my money runs out and I have to get a real job. My main hobby is rock climbing, but really I just love being outdoors and in nature. I also absolutely love cooking (and eating), especially with proper ingredients and spices that have been grown or made locally. Cracking open a real chicken egg to see a yolk that looks radioactive with its colour is one of life's true pleasures (and then eating it).
I'm looking to help out with anything basically! I'm excited to get better at the skills I already have and to learn some new ones too. I'm especially keen to learn how to sail. I'd also like to pass on any knowledge or skills that I have and to experience some new ways of life.

I have spent the last four years making nice food for myself rather than doing my degree, so if you want a chemistry question answered I might be able to help but if you want me to make some food then I can definitely do that! I've cooked for groups of over 20 people before with various allergy requirements.
I am fluent in English and live with an English teacher so I'd like to think that my understanding of the language is very good. I'm happy to teach punctuation, grammar, spelling or general writing skills.
I'm a practical person; I used to work in a bicycle shop so I can repair them and I help with gardening on my mum's allotment plus looking after the chickens. I'm also capable of basic carpentry, I've made some bits and bobs like a table and bamboo picture frame. I'm most proud of a free standing adjustable and flat pack climbing board that I built in the back garden of my uni house. I'm fairly proficient at general DIY and housework, including basic electronics. I've now volunteered twice where I worked a lot with concrete so I can mix and pour. I can also make rebar frames and bricklay.
I focused on environmental chemistry in my degree so I can give creative input to sustainable projects, I can help to build them afterwards too :)
I can drive and can also handle large vehicles (I only have a car licence though)
I can speak basic Spanish, I can have a conversation about beer rather than only being able to order one now.
I also climb, so if you get anything stuck high up or need someone with abnormally strong toes then you're in luck
