Description
I’m one of 7.9 billion people on this planet. I don’t have a better reason to be here than the others, but I believe that this should keep me (or anyone else) from living as if it mattered more than it probably does. I believe that somewhere in the bonds we create and nurture in our daily lives we can find the reason.
If I'm not barstool philosophizing in "about me" secrions, I work in journalism, as a freelance editor, writer and photographer. For the past few years, I’ve been based in Taipei, where I live with my wonderful wife and our cat.Interests

That said, I'll continue trying to learn this monster of a language until I've mastered it and then I'll move on to greener pastures other languages. Taiwanese maybe. Or something obscure. More details about your skills
Despite being a professional desk rat, I'm reasonably good at working with my hands. I'm good with plants, too, (at least the usual kinds) and animals (at least the usual kinds, including humans). And, well yeah, I can do stuff with the written and the spoken word (although I cannot sing, for example) as well as stuff with moving and still images (although I do not fly drones or any of the other gimicky stuff).
Growing up I used to help my parents in their garden, growing vegetables, pruning trees and whatever else was there to do. Ever since, if something that needed fixing has come my way, I've tried my hand on it...and reasonably often it worked out pretty well. In my former life as a photographer, I've set up exhibitions (for myself and others)...which often went far beyond driving nails into the wall and hanging some framed photos.
I've worked the usual odd jobs in the service sector, serving lattes, scrubbing the kitchen and whatever else had to be done. I love cooking and, in the wider sense, creating things in the kitchen, from my once-a-year Iranian lamb stew around Christmas to making hot sauce from balcony-grown chilis.Age
