Description
Trying to feel the most alive keeps me going. And making sense of this big thing called life along the way is also pretty nice.
I've worked in journalism for the past couple of years, first as a freelance photographer, then chained to a desk (not literally). I've been based in Taipei throughout, living there with my wonderful wife and our two cats. This being-chained-to-a-desk issue brought up something in me that made me hit the road again, so my wife and I spent the spring in Europe traveling, and now I'd like to enrich this experience with some more worthwhile months of new encounters, learning and helping others fulfill their projects. Lets see what the future brings for me beyond that, what I know is that I miss my cats.Interests

Despite being a professional desk rat, I'm good with my hands. I'm good with plants, too, (at least the usual kinds) and animals (at least the usual kinds, such has dogs, cats, and last but not least humans).
Growing up I used to help my parents in their garden, growing vegetables, pruning trees and whatever else was there to do. Ever since, if something that needed fixing has come my way, I've tried my hand on it...and reasonably often it worked out pretty well. In my former life as a photographer, I've set up exhibitions (for myself and others)...which often went far beyond driving nails into the wall and hanging some framed photos.
I've worked the usual odd jobs in the service sector, serving lattes, scrubbing the kitchen and whatever else had to be done. I love cooking and, in the wider sense, creating things in the kitchen, from my once-a-year Iranian lamb stew around Christmas to making hot sauce from self-grown chilis.Age
