Description
Hello wondrous world :)
My name is Rachel, but my buddies call me RJ!
I’m a 24 y/o craftswoman based in Virginia, USA.
I am a vibrant spirit with a strong intuition. I embrace simplicity and find magic in the ordinary.
Short backstory: I’ve spent the last 4 years living with my elderly grandparents (and geriatric cats). Being their caregiver taught me so much about compassion, patience and hard work. Now, they have all passed away. The beautiful memories – and valuable lessons I have gleaned from this experience – fill the empty space in my heart. I am now blessed with the freedom to explore the world on my own, taking with me the wisdom and perspective of an older generation.
I am traveling for artistic opportunities – working in a studio, teaching ceramics, tending to a garden, cooking creative meals, painting the walls of your space or making art with children – I’m open to it all! I am motivated by curiosity and eager to immerse myself in new cultures. Channeling my love of art, I want to work hard, connect with others and show love and kindness along the way.Interests

More details about your skills
The art and business of ceramics is my expertise! I sell my artwork locally and teach clay classes to all ages and skill levels. I have solid experience in community studio management, course development and instruction, art handling, online and in-person sales, customer service and business ownership. I have participated in work exchange programs doing kitchen work and hospitality at a hostel in Quepos, Costa Rica and a craft school in Tennessee, USA.
I have a great eye for design and my 3D skills are useful across fields. I am a quick learner, clear communicator and eager to try new things. I have patience with all ages, skill levels, and can accommodate different support needs.
I am a great organizer (which is often a challenge in the creative world) and love helping others tidy their space. I am flexible and adaptable as well as process oriented. Scheduling and timing are strong suits.
