Hi there! We’re Claire and Bruce, an engaged couple in our early 30s taking a sabbatical from our careers to travel through Asia and South America.

I (Claire) am a Health Economist and have spent the last 4–5 years living in Manchester, UK, with Bruce. I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking, running, cycling, and swimming. I also practice ballet and have a keen interest in learning languages—I’m excited to pick up at least the basics of each country we visit!

I first discovered Workaway 10 years ago while traveling through Australia and South America. My experiences ranged from helping a family in Australia to assisting in a hotel in Ecuador, and I’m excited to dive back into Workaway to connect with local communities again.

Bruce is a Software Engineer who’s passionate about technology, DIY, and hands-on projects. He’s currently 70% of the way through renovating a cottage with his dad on an island in Scotland. He also enjoys cooking, playing the guitar, and video games.

Together, we’re a proactive and hardworking team. We’re not afraid to get our hands dirty and are happy to take on manual work, whether it’s outdoor tasks, DIY jobs, or other challenges. We both enjoy learning new skills and meeting new people, and we’re excited to bring our energy and enthusiasm to your Workaway project! 😊
