Description

Hello, I'm Chris from England! I decided to start volunteering in 2018 with the intention of helping others, travelling and meeting new people.

Since then I've helped on a farm looking after rescued animals, maintained the gardens at a eco house and helped with food prep in the kitchen, serving customers in the café and making wooden shopping containers for statues in the art studio for a meditation centre in the UK.

I visited Scotland for the first time last year and did a workaway as a waiter serving food and drinks plus household duties cleaning and changing over the rooms at a bed & breakfast hotel on the Isle of Skye. I also helped on a farm campsite and glamping in Cumbria where I looked after the guests with logs for the fire, maintained the accommodations and tended to the overall site.

I can turn my hand to most things regarding DIY and property maintenance and enjoy being out and about in nature. I started work in engineering for the fastener industry and have experience working in hotels and restaurants. I'm a freelance photographer in my spare time and can help produce content for websites and social media.

I have found Workaway a great place for working with different people, having new experiences, making friends, sharing knowledge and learning new skills.
