  • Description

Hi, I’m Chels, a 40-year-young adventurer with a deep love for nature, animals, exploration, and growth. Originally from South Africa, I’ve lived in Sydney Australia for 10 years and before that, London for 10 years. I am lucky to be an Australian Citizen and call this place home.

My career has largely been in brand consultancy and market research, but I’m now setting up an energy healing practice and shifting my focus to living more in tune with the natural world. I’ve been deeply passionate about spirituality and nature for over 10 years and am finally making the move to creating a lifestyle I’ve always dreamed about!

My passion is to live in harmony with nature, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I’m currently exploring the Byron Bay and Northern NSW areas, hoping to make this my permanent home. As part of this journey, I’m seeking Workaway opportunities to learn about and contribute to self-sustaining and sustainable communities.

Over the next few months (from Nov’24) I’m excited to see what unfolds! I’m available for longer stays and prefer min 2 weeks to really get stuck in to helping out and enjoying the experience. I’m a diligent and hardworking person who thrives on being outdoors, whether it's gardening, building, or spending time with animals. I’m also happiest when hiking, camping, swimming, or simply immersing myself in the awe of nature.

I’m energized by contributing to meaningful projects, excited to learn new skills, and happy to assist with any tasks. I’ve always been a quick thinker, fast learner, and a strong team player, confident that I can add value wherever I go. One of my mottos is to leave every place a little better than I found it, and I’m excited to connect with hosts and offer support wherever it’s required.

Looking forward to making meaningful connections and experiences with you!

If you'd like to search more about me, here is my work history and recommendations from colleagues and clients (at the bottom of my profile) - https://www.linkedin.com/in/chelseamlittle/

    Skills / experience and interests:

I grew up with 4 sisters, 5 dogs and a busy household.
As the youngest of 5 (I'm a twin so technically I'm 4 out of 5!), we were 'put to work' often!

I'm an expert at moving house, packing like 'Tetris' and lifting heavy things (within reason).

I love cleaning and tidying - not just the house but also gardens and land!

I tried to grow my own veggies in a paved backyard in Sydney, which didn't work very well but I had such fun doing it! The plants outgrew their boxes and I haven't aced bug control the natural way (yet)

I love being in the garden, or in nature. I have the fondest of memories being in our 1 acre garden (growing up in South Africa) with my mum, asking her what all the flowers names were and learning how to plant seedlings and potted plants.

I'm a DIY Queen! I have grown up always wanting to learn how to do things myself and I am probably the only person in my circle of friends that owned a fully kitted out toolbox from a young age! And still now probably :)

I'm obsessed with animals and am always stopping to pet dogs on walks on the promenade of Bondi Beach.

I love being playful and adventurous, which comes in handy in every area of life, including with kids. I also love playing games and letting the kid in me have fun along the way.

I'm incredibly creative, and although drawing is my weakest link, I think and act creatively. I love painting, decorating, decoupage etc. I am also known as the 'precision queen' when it comes to painting skirting boards and ceilings ;o)

I've baked and cooked my whole life. I used to love it as a child (took home economics until final year at school), and when I'm on holiday and visiting my mum we love exploring new recipes or old favourites. Living alone and cooking for one hasn't been as creative but when I have the time and inclination I do love a good cookathon.
