Description
Hello! I am Charlotte from Berlin, 26 years old and traveling together with my 2-year old daughter Anouk. This is us:
1. I speak German and English fluently, my French and Spanish is on a B1/B2 level. Anouk speaks German and a little French.
2. I am a research assistant in legal science at Humboldt-University in Berlin.
4. We love to be outside and play and move - in the water, forests, on farms. Wherever.
5. I am good at personal organization; my apartment is always clean. I am someone who does not leave the laundry in the washing machine, I clean up after I eat, and put things back to where they belong. I enjoy doing deep cleans as a form of relaxation.
6. As a mom, I know how much energy it takes to truly connect with a child. That means, staying patient when she is not, accompanying her in learning how to do life, being curious with her, making funny faces and playing cool games. Also, shwoing boundaries where it is needed.
7. I would also consider myself a handy person. Being a single parent, you have to find solutions for everything, on your own. I can fx what is broken and come up with new ideas to improve a situation.
8. I am a very good communicator. The past couple years were very intense in personal development and I had to learn how to be honest, understanding, constructive and understanding.
9. I have a drivers license and I am a good driver in both stick shift and automatic!
10. I am a good cook. I make a delicious lemon risotto, Chili con carne, mashed potatoes with spinach and sausage, and all kinds of pasta. Kid friendly alternatives ;)

Apart from being a legal scientist (not really useful for Workaway, haha), here is a list of the jobs I have worked in:
1. Tour Guide: Guided bike tours around Berlin ("Free Berlin Bike Tours").
Skills: Entertaining large groups of people (15-25), speaking in front of an audience, sensitivity to keep a large group together and make sure everyone is happy, historical knowledge.
2. Waitress: I worked in a French restaurant for almost half a year ("L'assiette Aux Fromages").
Skills: Multitask, balance large plates, deal with a lot of stress and rude customers all while staying friendly.
3. Cleaning woman: I also worked as a cleaning woman in Paris for a couple months.
Skills: well, cleaning, the good kind.
4. Farm work: I volunteered on a farm in Germany for 3 weeks via WWOOF.
Skills: gardening, milking goats, keeping cow herds together, caring for horses.
5. Teaching: I have been a private tutor for Maths, German and English lessons, and also worked as a full time elementary school teacher in a voluntary program in Ghana. You can check the reviews from Ghana & Morocco on my profile :)
Skills: keeping a school class concentrated (3rd graders!), staying focused on one topic, prepare lessons that combine education with fun.
6. Selling: I have worked in a beauty store (brand name: "Rituals") and also worked as a seller in a Crepe and Waffle store.
Skills: organizing the place, talking to customers
7. Children/elderly care/people with disabilities: I volunteered in a kindergarten and in an elderly home both for one year (once a week-visits). I also volunteered in a home for people with autism in France for 3 weeks.
Skills: caring for people with needs different from mine, sensitivity to adapt to people that communicate differently than I do, patience, capability to put other peoples needs in front of my own.

As our school for needy children don't have teachers regularly due to inadequate funds to pay them .She is loving,culturally immersed and could cope with any situation.She is one of the most I will love to host again.
