I’m currently on a year long solo trip in Latin America! I started in September 2023 and hope to see most of the continent.

To me, travel is about connecting with people all over the world who are different from me. This is through conversation, but also through cultural exchange like food, art, and music. I have had an awesome time volunteering as I travel and hope to use volunteering as a way to get to know cultures better.

What else ...

I started a project where I read a book on a social issue from each country I visit, in the language of that country. I just finished a Brazilian book (on the history of racial relations in the country and current challenges in Black Brazilian neighborhoods) and am reading an Argentinian book on perspectives on Peronism for the 21st century.

I really want to learn how to sail!

I want to learn Quechua and French sometime in the next six months.
