Description

I am a cave yogi, volunteer, and resident at Dharma Treasure Retreat Center in Cochise Stronghold, Arizona which is affiliated with the Workaway program. I am a Buddhist practitioner, retreat chef, and poet. I am interested in living a life of renunciation, nature exploration, and developing both insight and benevolence. I love to be of service and get to know all beings!

I am half Korean (mother's side) and Korean was my first language. I lost a lot of the language, but I can still read and write. I am currently re-learning Korean. I am interested in language exchange for English/Korean. I am also learning Norwegian to be able to communicate with my boyfriend's family.

I have been residing and volunteering at Dharma Treasure for 1 year:
-assisting in hosting and facilitating meditation retreats
-cooking for retreats, volunteers, and residents
-deep cleaning facility
-cleaning turnover after retreats and guest visits
-guiding people in mountains
-daily team meetings
-living in an intentional community

I have also lived and volunteered in a Buddhist monastery for Theravadin Bhikkhunis for 1 year:
-cooking for monastics
-cleaning facilities
-general property maintenance
-hosting and greeting visitors
-elderly care
-basic administrative duties/office work
-grocery shopping

I love hiking and spending time in nature. I am a quiet and gentle person, but also have a lot of joy and curiosity. I have been living outside full time for a year now, so I'm used to that. I also know how to play the piano.
