Description
Hello,
We are Catrin and Jack, a couple both aged 28 from the UK. This year we decided to quit our jobs to seek an alternative life and see where it takes us :)))
We were both previously working as economists and researchers in London, mostly in environmental policy. However after 5 years we realised that city and office work is not for us and we’re seeking a change in lifestyle. We both love being in nature, meditating, being peaceful and having meaningful interactions with people.
We love travelling and have taken every opportunity to do so over the past decade or so. Between us we've travelled across Central and South America, South East Asia, East Asia, India, Europe and North Africa and love being out of our comfort zones and getting to know new places and people. On our travels we've backpacked, stayed more long term to volunteer in places, lived in intentional communities and have been wild camping along the way too.
Apart from travelling our interests are varied - from yoga, qigong, meditation, dancing, walking/hiking, being in nature, cooking, meeting new people, reading, writing, psychology, spirituality, philosophy, permaculture, organic farming.
Having made the decision to leave our jobs and busy city lifestyle we are now looking for a more simple life and open to whatever's ahead for us. We can’t wait to have new experiences, learn new skills, meet new people, and contribute in a meaningful way to projects across the world!Interests

More details about your skills
Our greatest skill is a warm and positive attitude, an appetite to learn, an enthusiasm to experience new environments and cultures, and a desire to meet new people and make new friends!
We’re both comfortable with physically demanding work. We have done manual labour, working in warehouses, painting and decorating, and other jobs that require us to be on our feet and getting our hands dirty!
We’re good with people - we’ve worked in restaurants, cafes, in seasonal festivals, and in food preparation and cooking. We also have green fingers – we’re keen gardeners with experience in small scale and organic farming.
Finally, we’re both experienced professionals at the managerial level – we have strong interpersonal and communication skills and we’re comfortable leading teams of people.Age

What else ...
We’re travelling to India and can't wait to be immersed in Indian culture and experience the way of life there.
We've both found peace in yoga and have been practicing for years, therefore are really looking forward to be in the birthplace of yoga where we can develop our practice further. We are spiritual souls too and are hoping deepen our spiritual practices and learn from others, as well as spend lots of peaceful time in nature.
We're both interested in organic farming and dream of owning land and developing our own permaculture farm one day, therefore keen to experience life on an Indian farm and develop practical skills and knowledge of permaculture farming.
Catrin is interested in herbal medicine and has recently completed a shiatsu and abdominal massage training course and looking to develop her understanding of Ayurveda and healing through diet, herbal medicine and massage. Jack is a writer and along with all the new experiences we'll be having in India, is keen to journal and develop short stories during our time travelling.
We’re also looking to live in a community environment, to meet new people and get to know them at a deeper level. We love sharing and honest conversations about spirituality, philosophy, psychology and how we feel and interact with the world around us.
Lastly, we both love food and can't wait to eat incredible Indian food!!!Some more information
