Hello, my name is Cammy, I work for my local school district since I have the summer off to travel and explore a bit I thought I'd give workaway a try. I'm pretty new on here, but have experience living abroad. I studied English as my major at UC Berkeley and just graduated from a speech and language pathology program last year. I currently work with children who have speech and communication disorders. I enjoy what I do and have a passion for teaching and helping others. My goal in life is to learn more about the world, and spread kindness and knowledge wherever I may go.

I was an English major in college and have taught ESL for many years, I have my TEFL/TESOL certificate and am currently in the process of becoming a licensed speech pathology assistant. I love teaching English but I also love learning new languages. When I was living in South Korea I was part of a language exchange program. I think sharing languages is very important when it comes to communicating and building connections.

I have been a teacher for at least 10 years, and I have taught children and adults alike, in all subjects like math, english, science, reading, art, etc.
I have lived and worked in South Korea for 2.5 years and taught English in big cities like Seoul and a small rural mountain town.
I have experience living and traveling abroad, solo traveling and in groups, and I have done Couchsurfing, AirBnB, hostel living, and I look forward to seeing what the Workaway community has to offer!

I am a big lover of board games, especially word games like Scrabble, Code Names, and Scattegories. I also play a lot of strategy games, and I play a few video games too. I like a lot of sci-fi TV shows, but I will also dabble in the occasional K-drama. I mostly watch comedy movies, or Marvel movies, but I also really love documentaries. Overall, I'd say I have a pretty eclectic taste in just about everything!
