Description
My wife and I have raised 4 children and are taking the opportunity to take time (at least 1 year) from our professions to travel and experience the world. I have been the CIO of an Insurance company for 20 years and she has been a high school teacher for 15 years. We have started a podcast for friends and family to follow our adventures. Brad: I have extensive home improvement experience including installing floors, new cabinets, removing walls, basic plumbing. I also owned a ceramic tile repair and installation company for 4 years. Generally very handy around a home. I have a bachelors degree from Indiana University and have been in IT for 23 years, specifically the CIO of an insurance company for the last 7 years.

Danielle: I am great with kids, all ages. Raised four to adulthood, provided daycare for family, and have taught high schoolers for 15 years. I have a BA and MA in history and am working on my EdD. I am also a freelance writer and have written a weekly humor column for our local paper for sixteen years. I love to garden, cook, and clean a mean bathroom. :)

We love to travel and we really enjoy meeting new people and learning about new cultures. We have traveled a fair amount and are always excited to visit someplace new. We have raised 4 children through college and have worked as professionals for over 20 years. We are looking forward to a year of dedicated slow-travel and new experiences and to give back where we can. We both love hiking, boating, snorkeling/diving, and just about any food. We want to get out of our comfort-zone at times and see what the world has to offer, and what we can offer in return. We have had several pets and are very comfortable around animals.

We stayed with Ellie and Graham for two weeks in July and had a lovely time. We helped mostly outside with construction and landscaping projects, but had plenty of time to explore Lamb Island and Moreton Bay. The best part was sharing dinner every night and hearing all the amazing stories. Highly recommend.

We stayed for 1 week with Janine and had a wonderful experience. She gave us tons of flexibility and was more than willing to drive us into town or the coastline so that we could see the area. This was our first WorkAway and we could not have had a better host.
