Description

I am returning to grad school Fall 2026 and hoping to travel for a year starting in September and explore different countries. I recently had the chance to live in Italy and travel throughout Europe for 6 months, which was an amazing experience that made me fall in love with traveling. I also traveled for 3 months in Southeast Asia. I'm looking forward to meeting new people and learning more about different cultures. I'm fluent in English and have intermediate Spanish language skills, but would like to continue practicing Spanish.

My work experiences have helped me build the skills of communication, organization, and flexibility. I worked with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities the last two summers at camps. I also worked at a nature-based daycare with 2 and 3 year olds. Now, I'm working as an ABA therapist with kids with autism at a camp and through in-home care. I gained customer service skills through my jobs at a chocolate store and a cafe. I have also taught college-age students as a Peer Facilitator and Student Instructional Specialist for the University of Connecticut Honors program. I have some experience volunteering at a community garden in Italy as well as teaching English to kids with autism in Hanoi, Vietnam. I have a 180-hour TEFL certificate to teach English and a 200-hour yoga teacher training certificate.

In my free time I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, and swimming. I also like reading, watching movies, cooking, and crocheting. I love music as well and am teaching myself how to play guitar.
