Hi everyone, I'm Margherita, nice to meet you!

I'm a 22 yo living in Italy. I recently got a degree in political science, and I'm taking some time off before enrolling in an environmental policy master's next September. Needless to say, I care about social and environmental justice. I am currently in training to become an environmental volunteer guard!

What else can be said about me?
I'm a mom friend and a dad friend all in one: I am the planner, the organizer, and yes, I have a water bottle you can drink from. I will listen to you vent and do my best to offer advice, even if it might not be what you want to hear. I am a very honest and straightforward person, and value open communication. But don't get it wrong, I'm mostly a big goofball and will never say no to a silly, spontaneous idea.

I love the outdoors, and will delight you with random animal facts at all hours of the day if you so desire. Big into hiking, although I *will* stop to look at cool rocks and plants. I want to get into more outdoor activities, but I will leave the extreme stuff to the braver ones.

Some of my friends say I have the soul of a grandma: I will play board games for hours, I love cooking and baking, and my favorite treat is salted licorice. Also, I'm learning how to crochet.

I’m a quick learner and working independently doesn’t scare me! I’m confident, approachable and I engage with people easily. I'm also very organized and neat, with an eye for detail. Stressful or fast paced environments aren't particularly overwhelming either: I can stay levelheaded and methodical and it's pretty rewarding to get things done. When it comes to my skills, there's definitely a lot of things that I dabble in, not many that I'm a professional at, and a lot more that I could learn. But in general, here's some things that I could do as a volunteer:

– Working with and around animals! I regularly pet-sit cats and dogs, and I have some experience training and administering medication. I have looked after chickens, and I have limited experience with rodents and other birds. In general, no animal is too scary for me to approach and handle, but always with the utmost respect for their space and needs. 🐶🐓

– Some outdoor and gardening work! I'm decently strong and I can be outside in pretty much all weather. I have some basic gardening skills, and I can definitely paint a fence. I'm also used to patrolling natural areas and overseeing waste management thanks to my volunteering experience. 👩🏻‍🌾🌱

– Babysitting and homework help! I have some experience babysitting and love creative play. I also taught some private english classes.🧸 🧩

– Cooking and baking! I'm no professional but I love making food and I regularly cook for my family. I can cook vegetarian and GF meals too. 🍝🧁

– Basic computer and social media stuff! Again, not a professional but I am pretty good with technology and I'm the person my friends come to when they can't figure something out. Also, I'm pretty good at finding answers and solutions to what I don't already know. 💻👥

– Writing! I can do some creative and content writing, as well as academic writing. As a side gig, I write and review content for an AI development company. 📝📖

– Household maintenance and chores! I have lived alone before so I know how to look after a house and I can do all basic cleaning and laundry 🛏️🧹

If it's not listed here, I'm always happy to give it a try! I don't get discouraged if I'm not immediately good at something and I'm pretty persistent, so I'll find a way to get things done.
