Description
Hi there! We are Chris and Hannah, a couple from the UK and Germany :).
We are creative, curious, open-minded and open-hearted people and we are very excited to explore more of the world together, with the intention to meet like-minded people and do meaningful work. We are eager to learn more about the traditions and crafts practised by different cultures.
Both of us love the outdoors and gardening and used to have an allotment together before going travelling. We are curious about the wonders of plants and in the past we have both worked in organic greenhouses, gardens and farms. We also really enjoy cooking (and eating) yummy food together.
We are both very interested in traditional crafts, specifically ceramics and wood working. Hannah is passionate about pottery and clay, Chris loves wood turning and would be very happy to learn more about carpentry. In England we ran a little craft stall where we sold our ceramic and wooden bowls at local markets. Hannah has played music in various bands and has engaged with many different styles of music (and is always up for a jam session). Chris loves to learn about history and culture and is also a keen motorcyclist.
In general we are happy to help with a variety of tasks like any sort of building, maintenance, gardening, creative work, cooking and cleaning (believe it or not, Hannah genuinely enjoys it). We are always open to adapt and try out new things depending on what needs doing!

Chris has been learning German and is happy to teach English. Hannah is bilingual from a German/English family and she understands a little bit of French, but is eager to improve her speaking. We are both more than happy to exchange language skills.

Together we have a range of practical and creative skills that we are more than happy to share and exchange!
Chris has worked in construction for 10 years and has experience in manual labour, basic carpentry and setting out. He is an amateur photographer and comfortable with using any digital camera. He also runs a mobile catering business on the side, where he offers homemade vegetarian and vegan food. Chris has been spending the last year restoring his classic motorcycle himself, so has some basic mechanical knowledge. From working in a large vegetable farm in Australia he also has experience with driving tractors and farm machinery.
Hannah has a degree in therapeutic arts and worked as a creative technician in the arts department of a secondary school. She is passionate about community arts and has volunteered with various inclusive projects, put on performances and co-curated exhibitions. It is her dream to open a community space one day that is accessible to anybody and merges music, arts, crafts and nature. Hannah has spent a lot of her free time in the pottery studio, practising throwing on the wheel. She is also a folk musician who loves to share her passion for traditional tunes.
We owned an organic allotment for 2 years where we grew our own fruit and vegetables - we are a good team and we are not scared of getting our hands dirty :)
