Hi I’m Beth, I’m 18 and from England. I’ve been on a working holiday in Australia since September 2023, spending a majority of that time working in the Gold Coast. I’m passionate about illustration and would love to find other creatives/ people that would like to be taught. With any free time, I would either be going on walks or sketching (hopefully working on my portfolio for uni). I also like gardening, being an avid house plant hoarder back home. I love dogs, so that would be bonus if you had any pooches that needed walking. I’m looking forward to this unique opportunity to meet a whole host of people in this workaway adventure, and to experience the Australian East Coast at a slower pace of travel.

If it’s possible I really want to improve my level of French, learning in person preferably with someone who is fluent. My mum is fluent and was an AuPair in France, but sadly I only know as far as high school level. I practise everyday on Duolingo and have a streak of over 600 days.

I have never been worried about getting my hands dirty and I am always willing giving something ago, so anything you throw at me, such as home renovations or building, I’m sure I will just get stuck into.
However, I am more confident in gardening since I help my parents with our vegetable allotment; I also had an impressive houseplant collection, counting over 100 at one stage.
I can very easily do housework: any cleaning or laundry, I especially love organising and tidying because of how satisfying it is. I am great at baking and am getting a lot better at cooking, and find great joy from experimenting in the kitchen.
I studied Art & Design at college, which included teaching children’s art lessons. So I am more than happy to do any babysitting that is needed, as well as any dogs that want walking.

I am a crafty person and have always have a love for sewing, knitting and collage. If there is any sewing projects that need help with or holes to sew up, just say.

In England, I’m from the countryside and love to be out in nature. So if you do pick me let me know of any routes or trails I can walk in your area. I also love photography and videography and I take an excessive amount of pictures everywhere I go.
