Description
Hello, I am a bear conservationist working in Japan, originally from New Zealand.
I am passionate about many things, nature, wildlife, outdoor activities,
creative pursuits such as writing, music, photography,
rural communities, mindfulness, personal development and healing practices.
My work experience is in hands-on outdoor work, tour guiding, outdoor recreation instructor, writing articles, photography, research and a little English teaching. I also have done hospitality jobs here and there.
I have plenty of previous experience volunteering, mostly for nature conservation, working with children and helping people out around their house. So you can rest assured I'm used to the process, happy to help out and considerate of other people. I'm also flexible, independent, and a quick learner.
I am traveling Egypt, Ethiopia and Kenya, and possibly further south if budget/time allows.
It's been my dream to travel Africa and work/live somewhere in Africa at some point, although not sure where yet.
I really love immersing myself in other people's cultures and becoming one with the local community. I am hoping this will be the adventure of a lifetime and I will make some great connections along the way that may last into the future :)
