  • Description

I've been learning about sustainable living for a number of years on a multitude of volunteering projects, my long term goal is to set up an eco-project/nature reserve in Latin America, but still would like a lot more experience. This year I'm re-shaping my career and will be starting a degree in Natural Sciences with a focus in Biology. I want to gain as much knowledge and practical experience as possible to be able to help on conservation projects, natural reserves, botanic gardens, anything devoted to the natural world.

I have some experience with vegetable gardening and natural building and love helping on that kind of project! I really like agro-foresty, and am especially interested in tropical fruit tree , I absolutely love birdwatching and am fascinated by plants, botany, insects, all things nature!

I have some experience in hospitality, for a time I gave guided tours of a nature reserve in Costa Rica, I worked for a lodge and took guests to see the amazing Resplendent Quetzal, I also helped at the reception. I speak fluent English Spanish and good level of Portuguese, and know some French.

Organic gardening and permaculture! Some practical knowledge and some theoretical waiting to be put into practice! I know a little about natural building, especially quincha, but there are many more techniques I'd like to learn. I can make a decent compost, and know some interesting techniques involved in home gardening, sustainable design, food forests.

I'm fascinated by everything to do with plants, and am constantly studying botany and horticulture.

Like anything in life you can always learn more, and thats certainly the case with me! I'm not an expert but I'm always reading and looking for opportunities to experiment. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and learn from others very quickly!

Professionally I have worked as an English teacher, data analyst, nature guide, I know some programming in case that is useful too :)
