What brings me happiness? Well, quite a few things! I absolutely love getting creative, whether it's through creating new pieces of music, cooking or baking something new, or attempting to paint... Traveling is another big one for me—I like to think I thrive on exploring new places and immersing myself in different cultures. Meeting new people and learning from them is something I find enriching. Of course, I also cherish those moments of solitude where I can reflect and grow.

As for what motivates me, making a positive difference in people's lives is important. I strive to be kind and personable, and I get a real kick out of solving problems.

"Hi, I'm Dermot. I'm 26 years old and currently live in Cornwall, England. Having just finished university, I am looking for an opportunity to explore and visit new places. I'd like to think I'm a positive, active and out-going person. I'm quite competitive and have a keen interest in cooking, fashion, music, esports, and play/watch a lot of football. Due to this, I find it natural to work as part of a team. I also enjoy being outdoors and won't shy away from any physical labour, however intensive.

Primarily, my passion lies in graphic design. I'm a designer with a lot of experience in social media management and online and physical content creation, using my skills in the Adobe suite to craft compelling designs that engage and effectively communicate messages. My attention to detail, and use of contemporary design trends, help to gear my work towards leaving a lasting impression, whether that's independently or as part of a team. I'd therefore be happy to assist or manage anything to do with building or improving an online presence. Otherwise, when I'm not busy endlessly scrolling through which typeface to use, I like to explore, hike and travel as much as possible - hence the interest in Workaway positions!

Professionally, I have extensive experience in the hospitality industry, primarily as a cocktail bartender, building to a restaurant/bar managerial role, but also as Chef de Partie. Also, during university, alongside Ben as a duo, I was a social sport activator. This meant responsibility for over 800 students sporting activities and it was great for understanding how myself and Ben can work effectively together- experience we would like to bring into Workaway opportunities.

"Hi' I'm Ben. I'm 24 years old and currently live in the South of England.

After completing a degree in Aerospace Engineering I am looking for an opportunity to work abroad - hence my workaway profile. Developed through education and employment experience, I have gained a high attention to detail and can be very adaptable within team environments, using my interpersonal skills. I'm not ready to approach full time within engineering just yet as I would love to see more of the world.

When I’m not listening or creating music, I can be found in the kitchen cooking or baking to satisfy my latest culinary interests, usually gained from food orientated travelling. I am a keen skier in the winter and a football and tennis player in Summer.I also love taking photos and have an interest in videography with amateur experience so would be able to help with any hosts needs in this respect"
