Hey! We’re Bea and Dan :)

We’re a couple from the UK who met at university and have been together for 7 years. For the last 2.5 years, we’ve been travelling the world while working remotely, combining our work with seeing more of the world, which has been amazing!

We’re new to Workaway, so we don’t have loads of reviews here just yet, but we’ve had a very successful few Workaways and have more lined up, so that’ll change soon! In the meantime, we’re happy to share references from other platforms like Airbnb and pet-sitting sites.

About Bea:
Hi, I’m Bea. I’m 26 and originally from London. I work freelance in social media marketing, helping businesses with content creation, copywriting, and generally managing their online presence. Working remotely has been a great way to balance work and travel and I am SO grateful for it!

Outside of work, I’ve got experience looking after pets (my fave thing ever), childcare, house-sitting, and helping out with general bits and bobs. I’m always keen to try new things and love helping people however I can.

When I’m not working or exploring a new place, I’m usually reading, practicing yoga and breathwork, thrifting, or doing something creative. I also love live music, good food, and a good chat.

About Dan:
Hi, I’m Dan. I also work freelance in digital marketing, focusing on content creation and website optimisation. Before that, I spent a few years in hospitality as a waiter, bartender, and chef, which means I’m handy in the kitchen and enjoy a bit of graft.

I’ve also done gardening, painting, and odd jobs like decorating and general DIY, so I’m happy to help out with practical tasks.

Outside of work and travel, I love hiking, yoga, and bouldering. I’m a bit of a film buff and still enjoy a game of chess —I actually played competitively when I was younger!

Why Workaway?
We’ve spent the past couple of years travelling and are now looking for something a bit more grounded—experiencing new places in a way that feels more personal and meaningful.

We’re happy to help with all sorts, whether it’s looking after animals, gardening, cooking, or mucking in with odd jobs. We can also bring our marketing skills to the table if you need a hand with social media or digital stuff :)

We’ve both got degrees—mine (Bea) is in Fashion Branding & Communications, and Dan’s is in Marketing & Psychology. But beyond the formal stuff, we’ve picked up a lot of skills through work, life, and travelling for the past few years. Exploring new places has definitely expanded our horizons and taught us to adapt to whatever comes our way.

We’ve got hands-on experience with pet-sitting and house-sitting, as well as looking after children, so we’re comfortable with responsibilities like animal care and keeping things running smoothly in a home.

Dan spent a few years working as a chef, so he’s brilliant in the kitchen and loves cooking for others. He’s also done gardening, painting, decorating, and general DIY, so he’s handy with practical projects.

For my part, I (Bea) have a background in mentoring, working with children, and lots of experience in creative thinking. I’m naturally empathetic, patient, and love finding ways to solve problems or come up with fresh ideas.

We’re both pretty active and adventurous. Whether it’s hiking, being outdoors, or tackling a new challenge, we’re always up for it.
