Helllo! My name is Ava and I'm 34 years old. I am from San Francisco, California, but recently moved to NYC after living between Mexico City and Buenos Aires for fifteen years. I’ve just finished my masters degree in Latin American literature and have work experience in design and education. Before focusing on my studies I founded a clothing line based in Mexico City called Lickyboy, which specialized in handmade crochet pieces. I love all work that involves using my hands and being able to perform concrete tasks that have a meaningful impact.
I've had two Workaway experiences so far. I spent part of this past summer working on a family farm in Italy and volunteered on an organic commercial farm in Brazil last August.
